Naomi had a birthday party for her doll Alexandra!  It was so cute that she wanted to have a party for her doll that I had to let her do it.  She made invitations, planned activities and prepared favors all by herself!!  I didn't know it was in her to be a party coordinator!  I also didn't know that Alexandra was turning two!

The other girls brought their dolls and came in their costumes for Halloween!  One of the girls even brought gifts for Alexandra!  What a loved doll!!  I hope Alexandra had a great time!

I had a fun time too making MUMMY cupcakes, GHOST cookies and WORM juice.  (see above pics for the worm juice.)  It was therapeutic and sweet!

Happy Fall!
I know it's almost over, but we've been doing so much fun fall activities I wanted to post.
And we are missing our family and friends! AND, I've been told we need to post more than 2wice a year... so here I am making a resolution to post more often. (that won't be too hard I hope.) :)

Naomi cut her hair so that she could be the REAL Rapunzel this year!
and of course to donate her hair to the children who need
wigs due to different illnesses. This she was SOOOO excited about!

BTW, I am supposed to cut off my hair too...
so, I'm letting you all know it will happen in the near future. :)

We went to a local pumpkin farm to play. There was a haystack! a huge one that the kids really enjoyed! and so did our adult friend Justin! :) The skies here in Southern Oregon are just soooo beautiful!

I don't have much to say about this picture other than that Asa would be a great model for Polo. :)
I think that's all I can do tonight.
Keep in touch.
Love,
Yumiko :)

Saturday March 25th we decided to let Naomi participate in the Pear Blossom Junior Royalty Pageant. It was sort of last minute but she did great!!! In fact she did so good they crowned her the Queen. It was a whirlwind of a day but overall I believe she had a great time. The video is too large but a few pictures from the day...

Before they got started they took a group picture and as luck would have it the two winners were the first ones on the stage...holding hands.

Here she is answering questions...She wants to be a Rapunzel at Disneyland when she is big so little girls can take their picture with her.

Here she is crowned with the King. She knew from the beginning she would get a flower (even though the rest of us weren't quite as sure)

This picture is with the runner ups. No doubt their mothers spent more time on hair, makeup, outfits then us but what she didn't have in elaborate get ups she made up for in wit and overall stage presence.

She received a bag of goodies and a gift certificate to Toys R Us. Of course what fun is it to be the Queen if you can't share the news...

Naomi was at it again dressing up Asa. This time she put on her pink skirt and a streamer crown (she calls it her Rapunzel hair). I'm sure there will be many expensive counseling sessions over this and similar instances.

We also went ice skating last week and with the help of the "walker" Naomi learned to ice skate pretty good. By the end of the session she was doing it all by her self with just a little bit of help.

Yumi of course was a champion and all over the place worrying about everyone. As they say "you can take a kid away from a mother but you can't take the worry out of the mother" or something like that.

This year we had a low key valentine's day. The main gifts exchanged where food. Christian and Naomi made breakfast for Yumi and Yumi made Christian's favorite soup for dinner. This picture is of the heart shaped pancakes that were made for breakfast. Of course the arrangement was done by Yumi :)

On the Saturday before Valentine's Day we had a party and invited some friends over for good food and games. We played different "minute to win it" games. While they were all fun the highlight had to be where Justin and Hina had to swing their bananas to knock an orange into a box. We all looked on in amusement.
